Maxam Metal Products Limited has been manufacturing a wide range of balance, aluminum backdraft and fire dampers for over 30 years. The fire dampers are constructed in bonderized steel prime coated or stainless steel. All other dampers are constructed in galvanized steel, bonderized steel, stainless steel, or Aluminum.

The Maxam Metal Products Limited Balance relief damper is a self-acting damper which can be adjusted to allow air flow. The balance relief damper is available in single blade, multi-blade, or a multi-opposed blade damper which is ideal in high velocity systems or round for high velocity systems that are designed in round ducting. The design of the dampers allows for minimal air leakage and ensures quiet closure. These dampers may be installed in either a horizontal or vertical position, and may be manually operated or motorized.

The aluminum backdraft damper is a sturdily constructed aluminum blade type damper with the blades set back form the vertical line to ensure positive closure and prevent rain from entering. The bottoms of the blades are furnished with gaskets in order to minimize air leakage and to ensure quiet closure.

Maxam Metal Products Limited control dampers are available in single blade or multi-blade, round or as an Opposed Bladed Air Control Damper which is ideal for high velocity systems. The design of this damper allows for minimal air leakage. The blade operation allows equal air flow in all parts of the duct, i.e. from the top, bottom and both sides. The blades do not change the direction of the air flow providing equal distribution of the air inside the duct. This damper may be installed in either the horizontal or vertical position and may be manually operated or motorized.

Maxam Metal Products Limited fire dampers are designed for horizontal or vertical fire separations. The first to offer a true round fire damper, Maxam Metal Products Limited fire dampers are listed by Intertek/ Warnock Hersey for a period of 1 1/2 hours in a vertical or horizontal position and carry the Intertek/Warnock Hersey label. Maxam's two-way catch allows the damper's fusible link to be accessible from both sides of the damper face. Available up to the largest round fire damper of 24" (undersized by ¼") and the largest square fire damper of 60" wide x 72" high, they are manufactured in bonderized steel prime coated or stainless in various alloy, depending on requirements.
