Products bearing the Warnock Hersey certification mark with a "c" and "us", signifies compliance with both U.S. and Canadian product safety standards.

Maxam Metal Products Limited is proud to have been first in North America to offer an upward opening fire rated ceiling access door in a two or three hour fire rating. We were the first to offer the largest ceiling and wall access door in a single leaf panel or double leaf panel construction in numerous fire ratings. We also have the distinction of being the only fire rated access door to be listed in the City of Vancouver Bulletin 95-1 code to provide protection of electrical conductors to help maintain a one hour operation of emergency systems.

All Van-Met fire rated access doors have been tested to a minimum 2 hour fire rating and depending on the application required, may have a temperature rise rating. As well as our standard insulated fire rated access doors for wall or ceiling applications, or our uninsulated fire rated wall application access doors, Maxam Metal Products Limited also manufactures specialty fire rated access door panels such as a two hour fire rated garbage/laundry chute access door. We offer two and three hour fire rated upward or downward opening access doors for flush mount, drywall bead or concealed flange applications.
