MAXAM louvers are fabricated from extruded aluminum, making them lightweight and durable for easy handling, and allowing airflow to designated areas, while still providing for weather protection. While the Maxam Metal Products Limited aluminum louvers are the most common, galvanized steel or Stainless steel, and even copper can be used to manufacture a louver. The Maxam Metal Products Limited aluminum louvers are standard with a galvanized bird screens and can be manufactured with optional Aluminum bird screens and insect screens.

The Maxam Metal Products Limited aluminum louver is available in 4" deep, providing a larger free area, or 2" deep which is visually more pleasing, and is available with a channel frame style that fits into the rough opening while the flange frame style covers the rough opening.

The most commonly used Maxam Metal Products Limited aluminum louver is the flange frame style which has caulking applied to the inside of the flange before sliding into place, while the channel frame style has caulking applied around the perimeter to seal the louver.
